Quality marks

Our trained and skilled staff and volunteers deliver our services to the highest possible quality, as reflected in our large number of accreditations and partnerships.

Since our formation in 1986, Compaid has supported tens of thousands of disabled and other vulnerable people in and around Kent. Our staff and volunteers all receive full induction and regular training in delivering our services and working with people with a range of disabilities and other health conditions. For this reason, Compaid has been awarded the REVAMP quality mark which recognizes excellence in volunteer recruitment, management and retention. Compaid is also a Disability Confident employer and is a Living Wage employer as accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.

Our fully accessible Training Centre in Paddock Wood is a nationally recognised UK Online Centre, and we are accredited to use the Learn My Way website which provides modular training resources for digital skills. Our Training Services are commissioned by, among others, the Department of Work and Pensions, Kent County Council, East Sussex County Council, Sevenoaks District Council, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Town and Country Housing, West Kent Housing Association, the Good Things Foundation and the University of the Third Age.

Our Accessible Transport services operate across Kent and the surrounding area, and Compaid is an active member of the Community Transport Association, holding the CTA’s Quality Mark in recognition of our excellence in the management and delivery of these services. This is borne out by the range of organisations on whose behalf we provide regular transport, including Kent County Council, East Sussex County Council, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, Age UK, Kent Association for the Blind, the British Red Cross and Leonard Cheshire Disability.

As a charity, Compaid raises money from the general public, as well as through companies and charitable trusts and foundations. We are a voluntary member of the Fundraising Regulator, and abide by all approved standards in our fundraising. We are also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for the secure processing of personal data in both our fundraising and service delivery.
