Our Big Give Christmas Challenge is live!
Our 2021 Big Give Christmas Challenge is live, aiming to raise over £13,000 in the next seven days to help disabled, older and disadvantaged people get online.
From today (30 November) until midday on 7 December, every donation made to our Campaign on the Big Give website will be matched £1 for £1, to a maximum of £6,700. The website can be found here: https://bit.ly/CompaidBG21
This year we are raising funds towards the cost of our digital skills training services for disabled and older people. During lockdown, everyone has experienced being isolated at home, relying on the internet for information, entertainment, and to order goods and services. For those without the skills, technology or the confidence to use the internet, this vital support has been out of their reach.
Our staff and volunteers provide one to one training sessions, tailored to each individual’s needs and delivered either in person or remotely as necessary. We provide tablet computers and mobile broadband to learners if they don’t have access to the internet at home. Demand for our services in Kent has surged since the Covid pandemic, with more than 100 new referrals in the past year and many more expected into 2022.
Your support for our Big Give Christmas Challenge will help us to get more vulnerable people safely online now and in the year to come. Please give what you can at our campaign page https://bit.ly/CompaidBG21 and share our campaign to your own networks.
Remember, every £1 you donate is worth £2 between 30 November and 7 December. Thank you.
